Underwater Strobe Sync Cords

Sync cords provide a connection between the housing and strobe to fire it in sync. There are two types: Electrical and Fiber Optic. Electrical sync cords have a fast recycle time, save camera battery and are compatible with most SLR housings, however they can be another source for floods and are more expensive. Fiber optic cords are newer, inexpensive, removable in water and cannot flood. However, Optical connections rely on the built-in flash recycyle time and are not compatible with all strobes.
