Optical Ocean Nauticam Nikon Z7/Z6/Z7II/Z6II Ultimate Underwater Package

Features Nauticam's z7V Housing for the Nikon Z7 and Z6 cameras (choose option for Z7II/Z6II), along with a 140mm glass fisheye port for the Sigma 15mm FE lens. This Ultimate Wide Angle System features the best still lighting strobes available; the OneUW ONE160x Nikon i-TTL Underwater Digital Strobes.

Innovation, ergonomics, and reliability are the hallmarks of the Nauticam brand and are brought to new heights with the Nauticam underwater housing for the Nikon Z7/Z6 camera. Key controls are placed within an easy reach from the ergonomic, rubberized handles with unmatched ease of use. Controls on the housing are placed exactly where they should be for easiest access in water, regardless of the camera layout. The NA-Z7V supports both the Z6 and Z7 models and features the larger-bore M24 bulkhead that supports HDMI 2.0 connections needed for the Atomos Ninja V Recorder/Monitor.

The Z7 and Z6, Nikon's first full-frame mirrorless cameras offer underwater shooters the same legendary Nikon sensors with the versatility of an electronic viewfinder and the more compact form factor of a mirrorless system.  The NA-Z7V supports both the Z6 and Z7 models.

Unmatched Ergonomics

Regardless of where the control is located on the camera, the Nauticam NA-Z7V housing puts them where you need them to be underwater.  For those switching between photo and video modes, an easily reachable switch is located on the right rear of the housing.  The right side double thumb lever, easily reached from the right handle features access to the AF-on and Record buttons respectively.  Between the double thumb lever and the multi-stage shutter release is an ISO lever allowing quick changes to sensitivity.

The left double thumb lever accesses the DISP and Playback controls.  The Zoom In and Zoom Out controls, located on the right rear of the camera body is relocated to the left side of the housing to a location more familiar to Nauticam housing users.

The switch that allows for switching between the LCD display and the EVF, a crucial and much used control with mirrorless systems is located close to the left handle within easy reach.

F and Z Mount Support

The Nauticam NA-Z7V housing allows not only the use of the new Z mount Nikon glass but also the F mount lenses with the Nikon FTZ Adapter. This allows use of legacy Sigma, Nikon and other lenses. This wide angle ultimate system includes the exclelent 140mm glass Fisheye dome port with a removable shade, the perfect port for the popular Sigma 15mm FE lens.

Macro ports, external wet lenses and much more can be added.

Vacuum Check and Leak Detection System

The NA-Z7V features Nauticam's vacuum check and leak detection system electronics preinstalled. The system gives a visual indicator of watertightness with the integrated multicolor LED.

Dual OneUW ONE160x Nikon i-TTL Digital Strobe System

At the heart of this advanced electronics system is a powerful CPU that manages the entire strobe with sophisticated digital communication software between the camera and the strobe, perfectly interfaced with the i-TTL protocols by Nikon. This operating mode allows us to get very accurate exposure of flash light without the aid or interposition of any converter. Selected component with strict quality parameters and an intelligent management of all the operational functions of the strobe ensure a very high level of reliability.

Strobe Mechanics

The body is made from a solid block of aluminum alloy machined with ultra-modern multi-axis CNC machining centers. The aluminum is surface treated and protected by a hard anodic  oxidation with nanotech quartz coating which makes surface hydrophobic. All control shafts are made of stainless steel with double sealing o-ring. The various technical polymers selected for molding are extremely robust and perfectly suitable for use in water. The robustness of the realization allows the use of strobe in all technical dives, hyperbaric tests are performed at pressures equivalent to 200 meters depth.

Strobe Controls

To obtain these results, OneUW have designed the layout of the controls simplifying and rationalizing their functionality: no buttons, no switches, just two large lever selectors, a multifunction rotary control switch and a large, easily readable control display.

External Flash Triggering

The OneUW Strobes feature built-in i-TTL exposure. This requires an electrical sync cord. This is one of the most accurate strobe exposure systems availalbe. The OneUW Strobes can also be triggered in manual mode via fiber optic sync cords using the pre-installed Nauticam manual optical flash trigger.
