The hand-crafted Zen Underwater 230mm (9") Optical Glass Dome Port represents the state of the art in dome port design and manufacturing proficiency, and optical technology. Our unique modular universal mount system makes it a snap to adapt to housings from Subal, Nauticam, Sea & Sea, Nexus, and Aquatica, making this the last dome port you may ever need. This is the highest quality dome port you can use and is the recommended port for full-frame fisheye or moderate wide-angle lenses including the Nikon 16-35mm, 17-35mm or Canon 16-35 or 17-40mm lenses. This newly designed DP-230 has a larger inner diameter to accommodate larger lenses like the Canon 11-24mm f/4. The new dome is compatible with the Nauticam Extension Ring 70 for the Canon 11-24mm and also includes a user installable locking tab for all existing extension rings.

At the heart of the Zen Underwater port is a 9" segment of a much larger BK7 crystal glass dome. This yields optical performance on par with virtually any similar or larger dome currently available. The large radius assures a thin water line for over/under shooting, and the glass minimizes water beading.

The interior of the dome element is coated with a magnesium fluoride broadband anti-reflective coating to minimize internal reflections from camera lenses, lettering on cameras, etc. which can be problematic when shooting over/under scenes.

The exterior is treated with a proprietary scratch resistant coating to control lens flare. This coating yields an amazing 99.7%+ transmissive value for true distortion free images.

The exclusive Zen Modular Mount mates with the dome assembly via a reliable and rugged bayonet mount, eliminating any possibility of dissimilar metal corrosion. The mount currently support Subal Type 3, Subal Type 4, Nauticam, Sea & Sea, Nexus M5, and Aquatica housings. Nexus M6, Inon, Olympus and Seatool mounts are under consideration.

The heavy duty (4mm thick) aluminum shade is designed to offer a lifetime of service and extends far enough to protect the dome when placed face down.
