Olympus OM-D E-M1 MKII Camera Body
OM-D E-M1 Mark II Advanced Mirrorless SLR Camera Body (black)
Introducing the OM-D E-M1 Mk II, an advanced system of innovative technology and features designed to forever change your photography. Up to 18 frames per second sequential shooting with precision C-AF Tracking. 121 Cross-Type On-Chip Phase Detection AF points. Up to 5.5 shutter speed steps of compensation with powerful in-body image stabilization. It’s all enclosed in a magnesium alloy weatherproof body that weighs a mere 600 grams. Paired with the superior resolution of M.Zuiko PRO lenses, the E-M1 Mark II will deliver brilliant imagery that’s coveted by professionals everywhere.
THE WORLD’S FASTEST*
Using its advanced silent electronic shutter, the E-M1 Mark II captures 20 MP RAW image files at up to an astonishing 60 fps in S-AF Mode and 18 fps in C-AF Tracking Mode. Or, use the E-M1 Mark II’s high-speed mechanical shutter to shoot full resolution photos at a blazing 15 fps in S-AF Mode, far surpassing other cameras in its class.
NEXT LEVEL AF
The Frequency Acceleration Sensor Technology (F.A.S.T.) AF system boasts 121 points of On-Chip Phase Detection plus Contrast Detection AF. Every point of On-Chip Phase Detection is cross-type, facilitating detection of vertical and horizontal lines for superior accuracy. For even faster focusing, the in-body AF Limiter function shortens AF drive time with three customizable focus distance ranges.
COMPOSE AND CONTROL
Capturing fast action is easy with the interactive 2.36 million-dot LCD EVF. It features a smooth 120 fps refresh rate with a 5 millisecond response time. For superior control, there are four AF target modes: All Point, Single Point, 5-Point Cross, and 9-Point Group. Precision C-AF Tracking and the subject-tracking Cluster Display simplify focusing on moving subjects.
OUTSTANDING IMAGE QUALITY
The new 20 MP Live MOS Sensor features an Anti-Reflective Coating on both sides of the sealed cover glass to reduce flare, and its high-speed design captures distortion-free images of moving subjects that are rich in color and detail. It works simultaneously with the new dual quad-core TruePic™ VIII Image Processor that boasts four CPU cores, four image processing cores, and a dedicated AF calculation circuit to easily power the E-M1 Mark II’s blazing sequential shooting and autofocus speeds.
WORLD’S MOST EFFECTIVE IMAGE STABILIZATION*
The advanced 5-Axis Image Stabilization compensates for all types of camera motion to provide up to 5.5 shutter speed steps of compensation for crisp images.
HANDHELD 4K VIDEO
Capture C4K (4096 x 2160) video up to max bit rate of 237 Mbps at a 24P frame rate for true cinema quality. For even greater flexibility, shoot 4K (3840 x 2160) video with a 30P, 25P, or 24P frame rate. With the E-M1 Mark II’s 5-Axis Image Stabilization and electronic stabilization that’s optimized for video, you’ll shoot ultra-smooth handheld UHD video. Plus, there are two HDMI output modes: Monitor Mode supports an external monitor display, while Recording Mode records to an external monitor recorder.
LAG-FREE PHOTOGRAPHY
Capturing the best moments can be difficult, especially when your subject is in motion. Pro Capture Mode ensures you’ll catch the exact moment you want without any lag. Pro Capture uses the silent electronic shutter to start buffering a running series of full resolution JPEG / RAW images when you press the shutter release button halfway. Then, fully press the shutter release to capture an image plus the 14 previous frames all at once. You can keep the shutter release fully depressed to continue sequential shooting. With its time machine-like capability, Pro Capture always has the perfect shot stored and ready to save.
LIGHTWEIGHT WEATHERPROOF DESIGN
Combined with M.Zuiko PRO lenses, the E-M1 Mark II is more compact and lightweight than DSLRs, providing comfortable shooting with more freedom - even allowing for handheld super-telephoto photography. The metal body provides outstanding grip and is hermetically sealed to be splashproof, dustproof, and freezeproof down to 14°F (-10°C), so you can take advantage of every photo opportunity in any environment.
PROFESSIONAL CONSTRUCTION
The new high-capacity Li-Ion battery enables more images on a single charge (up to 440 shots) plus requires less charging time. The camera’s percentage battery display lets you check the remaining battery charge at a glance. Dual card slots feature a staggered layout for easy access and boast four recording settings. And the E-M1 Mark II’s shutter surpasses durability tests of 200,000 actuations.
