Ikelite Underwater Camera Housing for Olympus TG3 and TG4 Cameras

The Ikelite housing for this popular camera model has been redesigned for improved ergonomics. A side-mounted shutter lever and new zoom control make shooting a breeze. Hard anodized aluminum and acetyl controls operate smoothly and are fully serviceable for many years of enjoyment.

A new central tripod mount has a standard 1/4- 20 thread and can be connected to popular tray systems from most manufacturers.

Our brand new ABS-PC blend provides strength and corrosion-free performance year after year. The specially formulated color deflects the sunlight to keep your camera running cooler, longer. Durable construction keeps the system watertight shallow and at depths up to 200ft (60m), well beyond the reach of the Olympus branded housing.

About the Camera

Olympus is the leader in providing rugged, waterproof compact cameras, perfect for any outdoor adventure! The Tough TG 3 features a bright, 25-100mm f/2.0-4.9 lens and built-in Wi-Fi connectivity which allows you to easily transfer photos on shore after your dive. Without a housing, this camera is rated by Olympus to 15 m (50 ft) for care-free snorkeling and no worries in or out of the housing!

Ikelite products are designed, built and tested in the USA. Ikelite uses locally sourced, top-grade materials. Ikelite housings are built by hand and individually tested for fit, function and waterproof integrity. We back our products with over 50 years of experience and service within the dive industry.

Flash

An included flash diffuser improves lighting quality when the camera's built-in flash is used. A built-in flash is effective between 1-3 feet (0.3-0.9m) from the subject in clear conditions. For best results a color correcting filter or external lighting is recommended. External lighting is more powerful than the camera's flash and can be placed in a position to virtually eliminate the backscatter - or "snow" - from your underwater images.

The optional AF35 strobe triggers and provides automatic TTL exposure by watching the camera's built-in flash, without the need of fiber optic cords or sensors. Alternatively, two ports are provided for the connection of up to two Ikelite-, SEA&SEA-, or Olympus-type fiber optic cords.

Wide Angle, Macro + Flash

The housing port is designed to accept 3.0-inch diameter color filters, and wide angle or macro options with 67mm threads. Light is absorbed very quickly as it passes through water. A subject will look darker, less colorful and somewhat grainy when viewed through even a few feet of water. The addition of a compatible wide angle accessory expands the camera's field of view underwater, providing the opportunity to get as close as possible to the subject and reduce the amount of water light passes through. The results speak for themselves - photos with the best color, exposure and clarity possible.

Moderate vignetting (dark shadows in the corners of the image) will be present when using an external wide angle lens. This can be eliminated by zooming in slightly, or cropping the photo in post-production.
