Dive into underwater photography with this compact and simple to use combination. The Compact Digital housing is high quality, durable, built to last, and backed by Ikelite's long-standing reputation for excellence.

    All camera controls are fully functional through the housing and depth rated to 200ft (60m). Two 12-24 threaded mounts on the bottom of the housing allow for the secure attachment of optional trays and lighting accessories.

    Includes one 1cc tube of silicone lubricant, flash diffuser, flash deflector and vinyl port cover.

Trays with Release Handles
    Optional Tray with Release Handle(s) provide comfortable handling underwater and attachment points for substrobes and accessories.

Camera's Built-in Flash
    An included flash diffuser improves lighting quality when the camera's built-in flash is used. A built-in flash is effective between 1-3 feet (0.3-0.9m) from the subject in clear conditions. For best results an external underwater strobe is recommended.

External Color Filters
    Color filters replace some of the reds, oranges and more natural tones that would otherwise be lost underwater. Effective in relatively shallow, sunny conditions. Available as #6441.46 for tropical blue water and #6441.86 for use in green water settings. For optimum results use in combination with manual white balance (see camera user guide for information on setting custom white balance).

External Underwater Strobes (Hard-Wired TTL).
    The camera's built-in flash is not operable inside of the housing. For the best exposure and true colors, we recommend adding an external strobe via sync cord. This dramatically improves recycle time and camera battery life allowing you to take more photos more quickly. Ikelite DS series Substrobes are industry favorites for their warm, even coverage and lightning fast recycle time. Unlike fiber-optic "TTL" systems, our conversion circuitry eliminates the need for the camera's built-in flash to fire. Convenient and affordable strobe with sync cord packages provide everything you need to take advantage of true TTL exposure. A single or dual tray and handle is required for the attachment of an external strobe.

Non-Ikelite External Strobes.
    Special sync cords are available to connect non-Ikelite strobes from Nikonos, Inon, and Sea & Sea. Non-Ikelite strobes can be used in manual modes only. Use of a non-Ikelite strobe bypasses the housing's built-in TTL circuitry.

    Strobes with a slave feature can be triggered by the camera's flash or by an Ikelite Substrobe. An included flash deflector prevents the camera's flash from creating backscatter in the image.

    Optional single or dual tray and handles is required for the attachment of an external strobe. The optional #9571.3 features a 1" (2.5cm) ball for attachment to the top of the release handle. This provides a mounting point for Ultralight, TLC, and other non-Ikelite arm systems.

Video Lighting
    Illuminate the truest colors day or night with a high-powered video light. For occasional clips, the Pro-V8 is perfect for close-up work and focus assistance. For the serious shooter we recommend the super-powerful PRO-2800 for maximum output and versatility. Tray with release handle(s) required for attachment, not included.

External Wide Angle Option.
    The WD-4 Wide Angle Conversion Dome corrects for refractive magnification to provide the camera's full angle of coverage underwater. The conversion dome may be removed and replaced underwater and requires no modification to the housing's standard port.

    Other external wide angle lenses by Ikelite, Inon, Epoque and other manufacturers are not usable with this camera at this time.

External Macro Adapter.
    Optional adapter #9306.82 (MSRP $50) slides over the front of the lens port and allows for the attachment of 67mm threaded macro lenses from Inon and Epoque. The adapter may be removed and replaced underwater and requires no modification to the housing's standard lens port. Macro lens not available for purchase through Ikelite.
    Not for use with 67mm threaded wide angle lenses.
