Athena was challenged to design a compact port to bring out the best features of the Olympus 14-42mm, small compact zoom lens in it's class.

The multi-purpose style of the Athena Wide Zoom Port 14-42 masters medium wide to close-up macro and one of the widest ranges in the DSLR class.

Corner sharpness image quality is good on wide angle, due to the OPD optical dome lens preventing distortion. In the water as well as on land, it keeps 24mm-84mm, 35 format value.

On the tele side Athena values a close working distance. They designed it to have a very short length. When you shoot, the shortest shooting distance is 25mm. 10cm as the shortest distance.

Inside it is bulkhead style and when you use the built-in strobe, there isn't the diffraction of light into dome.

There is a built-in shade and zoom control. Included in the package is the ZG/14-42PTE zoom gear and a soft dome cover.
